Using CatchON TV with Kodi
Confirm that your account includes the playlist and guide format needed by your Kodi setup before purchasing or changing players.
Check the client and account requirements
Kodi is a media player; installing it does not include a streaming subscription. Its IPTV Simple client can use compatible playlist and program-guide sources. The exact configuration screens depend on the Kodi and client versions.
Ask support whether your selected account can supply the required M3U playlist and EPG source. Do not assume a login intended for a separate app can be pasted into a Kodi field unchanged.
Keep playlist and guide addresses separate
The playlist identifies the streams, while the program-guide source supplies schedule information. Enter each in its corresponding field using the exact values provided. A storefront website address is not a substitute for either one.
Treat these URLs as account credentials. They can contain access information even when there is no visible password field. Do not paste them into screenshots, public issue trackers or review posts.
Test live playback and guide timing
Enable the configured client, allow the playlist to load, and test a channel. If playback works but the guide is empty, investigate the guide source and its channel mapping rather than immediately replacing the playlist.
For incorrect schedule times, check the configured timezone and guide settings. Send support the channel name, displayed time, expected local time and your timezone, with account URLs hidden.
Do not assume that a live-TV playlist provides the same on-demand navigation as a dedicated player. Confirm the content and browsing features you need before switching an existing setup.
